'Twilight' saga Eclipse Scene Revealed

Last night, on the set of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, many on-lookers snapped photographs and videos of the production crew setting up a big, red barn.

The consensus seems to be that the scene being shot involves two vampires in some sort of dream sequence. Most agree that this is probably related to Jasper (Jackson Rathbone) and his experience with the character Maria (which has been cast with Catalina Sandino Moreno).

About a month ago, Eclipse director David Slade used his Twitter to tease fans about potential filming locations for the newborn hideout and battlefield. While the recipe for those sequences might not call for a barn, it is indeed a possibility.

If it is Jasper's backstory that the barn is being used for, though, there are a few select sequences to choose from. Obviously, Jasper's transformation is a definite possibility, as Maria is responsible for that handiwork. Also, the Southern Wars - battle sequences in which Jasper learns to fight and winds up protecting Maria against her many newborns - are a potentiality. The fact that Rathbone has been taking horseback riding lessons, perhaps, might be the deal-sealer on that conclusion.

'New Moon' Wolf Pack Muffin scene

"I call it 'the muffin scene,' " revealed Gordon, who plays Jacob Black's friend Embry Call in the flick. "We all gather around at Emily's house — she's Sam, the big pack leader's, fiancée — and we all just gather around and eat muffins and talk about stuff."

As those who have read the Stephenie Meyer novels know, this inserted scene is rife with dramatic and humorous possibilities. At some point in the saga, Sam Uley imprints on Emily — the second cousin of high school sweetheart Leah Clearwater — leaving Leah more than a tad bitter. The scene takes place on the La Push reservation, with many of the key Quileute characters interacting while they partake in their bountiful breakfast. But why muffins?

"We like muffins," Gordon said, revealing that the Quileute wolves have a taste for more than vampire flesh.

"The muffin scene?" Taylor Lautner grinned when we told him of Gordon's comments. "I didn't have the pleasure to enjoy any muffins.

"When they were eating their funny little muffins, I was standing in the back, all pissed off," Lautner said of the scene, which depicts Jacob as not being too thrilled with the whole imprinting/ turning-into-a-wolf drama. "So I just got to watch them eat their muffins."

Twilight star Kristen Stewart Interview In Dazed Magazine

Dazed Magazine talks to Kristen Stewart about her role in Jake Scott's upcoming film Welcome to the Rileys, the fame being a star in Twilight saga, and he best thing about being an actress.

Dazed went to L.A. to take Kristen Stewart away from the glare of the paparazzi and exclusively speak to her about dealing with fame and life beyond the Twilight saga. Photographer David Benjamin Sherry and stylist Katie Shillingford also took Kristen on a psychedelic shoot, from which Dazed Digital have extra shots here, not seen in the magazine. On the shoot, Sherry says "I have never seen ‘Twilight but I was researching lots of images of her. I was inspired by the paintings of Patrick Nagel. I was reminded of a young Jodie Foster or Winona Ryder. I tried to portray a new way of seeing this blossoming teenage actress.”

Dazed Digital: You are in the midst of becoming a huge star. There’s a truckload of paparazzi outside the door right now.
Kristen Stewart: Yeah, but you can’t think about it too much because if you think about it too much it is this weird and dreamy fantasy land – you think – ‘ what the hell absurd thing are we doing at 3 o’clock in the morning, with 300 people- pretending to be other people, what the fuck are we doing?

DD: The paparazzi thing is only since Twilight, right?
Kristen Stewart: Yeah since Twilight. That’s the only reason they’re out there. They find out where I am from the Internet - from Twitter, man! Anyone who wants to know where I am at any given time just has to go on Twitter, it’s so ridiculous!

DD: I assume playing Joan Jett is a lot different experience from Twilight?
Kristen Stewart: It’s so much fun. She’s the ultimate badass. She was the first woman to start her own record label. Everybody threw her out after the Runaways and was like, ‘Sorry girl, your shticks over’, she was like ‘No, the message stays the same people still want to hear it.'
Who the fuck did that before her? The music industry is brutal. Once there’s one wave, one explosion of a type of music, everyone jumps on the bandwagon and tries to emulate that, so there’s a bunch of shitty versions of other bands. So there’s like
shitty versions of everybody!

DD: You identify with this role in more ways than one, I’m sure. The film and music industry are not so far apart.
Kristen Stewart: Yeah, it’s been awesome working on this. I’ve gotten to do a lot of great roles recently. I just made a film in New Orleans- and its going to sound funny because I play a 16 year old street kid prostitute stripper – but it’s the one film so far I mostly identify with. I play such a child, like she has the emotional stability of a 5 year old; she’s in her own little world that she had to close off at a certain point. She’s at that point where she’s not quite over the edge like a lot of those people, and I met a lot of them in New Orleans, talking to people who had done the job for so long.
They’re gone. Like I hate to say that, there is a part of them that is dead inside and it is so sad they can still live a happy life or whatever, but that part is. So she’s not dead, she’s still whole. She’s just really broken and she needs to be put back together, and she needs this guy. James Gandolfini plays this plumber who is grieving the loss of his daughter and is dead inside as well, so she is sort of the catalyst of his awakening and subsequent reuniting with his wife, like she comes out of the house after 8 years. Like this vulgar really fully kid who has her own problems greater than theirs ends up helping to get them to a place where they can continue their lives.
It was the greatest experience on a movie I have ever had. Everyone was tight and it was the greatest crew, Jake Scott, the director, is Ridley Scott’s son. For some reason on that one, I didn’t stop thinking all day. Now, keep in mind, I had a perfect upbringing, but I know what that feels in some way, to be this character. It was really hard. But they’re really funny and they make the most of it. They’re really great characters.

DD: Is that the best thing about being an actress, playing roles like that.
Kristen Stewart: That and also I meet so many amazing people and I get to work with my friends.

DD: You have any aspirations to do anything else?
Kristen Stewart: I know that will just naturally become other things, other than just acting in movies. I don’t know what the fuck I’m going to do. I write shit or whatever. I am going to make my own movies with my friends, absolutely, and I might not only act in them. But really? I love this, I love what I do, I am definitely going to keep doing it if I feel this way about it. That could stop, but until then, I’m just going to just write, make movies, play music.

'Twilight' author Stephenie Meyer shares her Summer Vacation

Stephenie Meyer posted an update on her official website on some stuff about her summer vacation, family, movies, books and music.

Hey everybody! I hope you all had a great summer. I'm sorry I don't update more, but it's crazy how busy you can be without really having anything to update about. I decided to do an end of the summer recap like I did last year—just the books and music and movies I enjoyed most. I love to share good stuff.

First books. I didn't have a ton of time to read this summer, but I did discover one really wonderful two-book series. Dreamhunter and Dreamquake by Elizabeth Knox. It is like nothing else I've ever read. The characters are so real, you'll feel like you know exactly what they look like and how their voices sound and what they would say or do in any given situation. More than that, you'll want to hang out with them. Then the world is so amazing and unique. You will want to go there. You will want to walk into "the Place." And you will want to sleep in a dream opera.

Also musical, I got out to a few good concerts. Meese was with Jack's Mannequin and The Fray—lovely. If you haven't seen these guys live, do. And then I got to go see Blue October again. I love their shows. You can't really know Blue October until you see them live. It's an amazing experience.

And finally movies. Mostly when I get out to a movie, it's a kid's movie. So Pixar's Up was the highlight of my summer. And then this Saturday I went to see an actual grown-up people movie, yay! Admittedly, I went to see the New Moon trailer on the big screen (yes, I'm a total dork. Who cares? It was worth it). But then I stayed to see Bandslam because the reviews were so good, and I was glad I did. With my hopeless love of music coupled with my total lack of musical ability, I really dug Will. He's my hero right now. It had a good soundtrack, as one might expect, a lot of very quotable one-liners, and it turned upside down some of those lame female-interaction stereotypes. It's a good time.

I'm guessing you've already picked up the latest copy of Entertainment Weekly, or at the very least, saw the magazine's feature on New Moon online, as part of their fall movie preview. To be honest, there weren't really many new details on the article: it's stuff we've already heard about, from Chris Weitz coming in as director to Taylor Lautner buffing up to become a bulkier Jacob. And then there are the behind-the-scenes stuff which actually sound fun. But, in a pretty odd manner, I realized that--unlike in Twilight, where the attention was on Robert Pattinson--this time around, it's Taylor's turn on the hot seat.

Makes sense, really. Edward doesn't want to give Bella any trouble, and decides to just disappear. Jacob decides to fill the gap until he leaves her torn between two lovers. Not to mention he becomes a werewolf and, before that, bulkier since he's grown up. I can only imagine how it weighs down on Taylor, especially when you consider what Robert told the magazine: "It was a stress-free job for three months. All the pressure was on Taylor."

And pressure it is, indeed. He almost didn't get the role, remember? It was a mix of fan clamor and the need for continuity (that was eventually broken when Rachelle Lefevre lost Victoria for Eclipse) that powered his return, I think. And then came the hard work: he did work out a lot and, according to Taylor himself, the 11-month training got too much at one point. "My body fat got so low that we actually needed to increase it a little bit," he said. "My trainer would be like, 'Go have a huge milkshake just so I can get a thousand calories into your body.'"

Thankfully he's dealing well with the pressure, and everyone's noticing it. "I think that Taylor is really going to surprise people in the movie," Weitz told the magazine. "People have seen his body and all that stuff and it's a shocker because it's hard to believe that anyone can be quite so carved. But he actually delivers a really great performance. He wasn't just exercising all day, he was also reading the book quite a lot."

"I knew he had [to do] it, just because of how I felt around him," Kristen Stewart said when asked about Taylor almost not snagging the role. "I love that kid. I would do anything for him. I would kill for him, literally."

The article barely mentioned Rob, although of course it doesn't mean he won't be anywhere near. It's just the second book, sure. But I can't help but be happy for Taylor: this is really his big break, and after that stint as Lava Boy--which still pops up in my head occasionally--he deserves it. The fans, it seems, have paid attention. I remember one of my friends from university, Kat, who was a RPattz fan--note, was, until Taylor came along and she switched allegiances. While it may be a slightly shallow crush, in my opinion, I think she recognizes all that he's done to get that slot.

A Closer Look at New Moon Director Chris Weitz

Rotten Tomatoes took a closer look to the director of much awaited Twilight second sequel New Moon, Chris Weitz, about his career and what Twilight casts whom he worked with in the set said about him.

During our visit to the set of The Twilight Saga: New Moon, we watched from afar as director Chris Weitz ran a seemingly tidy ship. His quiet, polite mannerisms, even during take after take, and his relative expedience moving from one set up to another spoke to a sea change from the type of set Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke reportedly ran: the focused, well-mannered workman vs. the wonderfully eccentric artist. The fans will be pleased, we thought to ourselves. Weitz looks like he knows what he's doing.

Coming into the project, Weitz's filmmaking pedigree was already impressive. In the span of just a decade, he's notched numerous successes under his belt, including an Oscar nomination (shared with brother Paul) for About a Boy; a hand in the successful American Pie franchise; and most recently, the honor of bringing Philip Pullman's enormously weighty His Dark Materials novels to the big screen, in the form of 2007's The Golden Compass. But our earliest familiarity with Weitz himself was as an actor in the darkly comic indie, Chuck & Buck, where he starred opposite Mike White's obsessive man-child as Charlie (formerly known as Chuck), a yuppie record exec trying to put his past (and his childhood buddy, Buck) behind him.

Even more intriguing is the fact that his mother, actress Susan Kohner, notched an Oscar nomination for playing Sarah Jane in Douglas Sirk's Imitation of Life. Or that his grandmother, actress Lupita Tovar, was a successful silent film star well known for Mexico's very first talkie, Santa, and starred in Universal's Spanish-language version of Dracula.

Producer Wyck Godfrey, speaking exclusively to Rotten Tomatoes, surmised that Weitz's own acting experience and affinity for actors made for a remarkably comfortable working environment on the set of New Moon: "I think having been in a movie himself and having acted before, he really trusts actors and I think they can really feel that inherently. And as a result, we've gotten much more authentic, very natural performances from all the actors."

While on set, we spoke further with cast members and screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg to get their takes on the new director.

Melissa Rosenberg on working with Weitz, who she called a "lovely guy": "Chris is a writer himself, so I did one or two drafts with him, and was really able to trust him to take it from there, to make any changes that might need to be made for production or for whatever reason."

Taylor Lautner on Weitz: "What I love about Chris is, the set is very calm and we're just having a lot of fun making the movie. And then you sit back and you look at the results that are happening, and it looks amazing so far. I'm so excited to see it. And you just sit back and see what's going on, and you're like, 'How are we having such an easygoing, relaxed time making this movie, and it's turning out the way it is?' At the same time, the conversations with Catherine -- she just related to us so well. So does Chris. They're both talented directors, and I'm thankful that I had the opportunity to work with both of them."

Rachelle Lefevre on Weitz: "Chris is much quieter and calmer anyway, he just has a different style, but also he's come into a world that somebody went through all of that to bring to life. And so I feel like part of the reason he came in maybe a little more quiet was just sort of respect the fact that he didn't just show up and go, 'All right guys. It's Chris Weitz's Twilight now.' He didn't do that at all. He completely respected that somebody else had laid the foundation and he was like, all right, here's where I'm going to take it within the realm of what's already been established. And so it's a different job, you know? It's something that he's executing beautifully because we all really feel both directed and respected in terms of what we've already done. We love him."

When he was confirmed to direct New Moon, Weitz wrote an open letter to fans of Stephenie Meyer's Twilight books and Catherine Hardwicke's film. "I want to write briefly to try to put you at ease," he wrote, "and to give you reason to hope for and expect the best."

Bella Swan's Twilight truck to Raise Money for Children's Charity

Sterling Biegart fits the image of a typical seventeen year old. She’s been involved in musical theater since she was six, she’s a responsible babysitter, and she has her college sights set on Yale or Julliard. But truthfully, she’s actually an old soul wrapped up in a Bella-aged body. And she’s about the luckiest girl around.

Sterling is the proud owner of Bella’s truck.

After considering the purchase of a Honda Element, Sterling noticed that the original truck used in filming Twilight was up for sale on EBay. She negotiated with her parents the option of using their 1996 silver Oldsmobile on a daily basis in exchange for the purchase of the red truck, to be used only on special occasions.

“There were two trucks used in Twilight,” said Sterling.”Mine was used for the majority of scenes; the other one was used for long shots. When they switched directors, they switched crews and suppliers, eliminating the need for the truck.”

When Sterling’s mom suggested that Sterling take the truck to the premiere of New Moon in their hometown in order to raise some money for college, Sterling had an “aha” moment. Instead of using the truck to benefit her own needs, her mission and new ultimate goal became to help others, specifically children, through charity.

“I’ve taught acting classes and I babysit a lot, so children and children's charities are very close to my heart,” says Biegart. Pedi Place helps families who can’t afford health insurance and Casa of Denton takes care of abused children.”

Sterling started a website called Eternal Tomorrows, which she hopes will ultimately become the name of her own charity. Her plea to those interested in renting the truck:

Sterling’s greatest achievement to date was her involvement in a charity event designed to benefit Dosomething.org. With Ashley Greene and Christian Serratos in attendance, Sterling was wrapped up in the Hollywood gala, her truck on display, and the red carpet beckoning. Ashley and Christian even autographed her truck.

“Dosomething.org supports children who are helping their communities and trying to make a difference,” said Sterling. “We parked the truck in front of the red carpet so a lot of stars got interviewed in front of it. I talked to a ton of people waiting there and tried to encourage them about what their causes are.”

Says Sterling about what using Bella’s truck for charity has taught her, “Eventually I want to start my own charity to help a bunch of causes; that's my goal. I always knew I wanted to help but now that I've had this opportunity, I want to expand so much. I always wanted to be a Broadway actress, but this seems so much more important to me.”

Exclusive Interview: From New Moon to Nurse Jackie with Peter Facinelli

Peter Facinelli had an interview with IESB which he cheerfully talks bout his two roles as Dr. Carlisle Cullen, the patriarch of the Cullen vampire clan in Twilight saga movies and Nurse jackie.

IESB: What initially attracted you to acting? Was there someone or something that inspired you to do it, or did you just know that you wanted to be a performer?

Peter: No, I was the opposite of a performer. I was really shy, when I was growing up. I saw a movie called Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid in third grade, and I thought Paul Newman and Robert Redford looked like they were having a really good time, and I said, "That's what I want to do, when I grow up." I always was inspired by Paul Newman and Robert Redford to want to be an actor, but I never really did anything about it because I was shy. So, all through high school, I never did a play.

Not until college, did I start to do acting. I transferred into NYU from St. John's University and started studying theater. I was going to take law because it seemed to impress people in my family when I said, "I want to be a lawyer when I grow up." One time, I told them that I wanted to be an actor and they all looked at me like I had five heads. The next time they asked me what I wanted to be, I said, "A lawyer," and I got a lot of oohs and aahs in the family. When you watch movies and you watch Law & Order, it looks so interesting.

IESB: When did you realize that you were not meant for a law career?

Peter: I did one year at St. John's University, and I studied pre-law and I worked for a law firm, and I realized that lawyers spend most of their time trying not to go to court. They look for precedents so they don't have to go to court. They told me that court was the last place you want to be. I was like, "Well, that's what I want to do. I like the courtroom drama," and they were like, "Well, then you need to do something else."

So, I threw away the courtroom drama and just went straight for the drama, and I transferred to NYU. I told my parents, "To be a good lawyer, I have to be a good actor, so I'm going to take acting classes at NYU and study theater there," and they bought it. And then, I started working, right out of NYU. So, when my parents realized it was something that I could do, they were behind it.
IESB: What was the point where you realized that you could actually make a living and a career out of acting?

Peter: I don't think I ever thought I wouldn't make a living or a career out of it. I never had a back-up plan. For me, it was always a do or die kind of thing. When people ask me if there's any advice that I'd give them, I say, "Don't have a back-up plan ‘cause you'll use it." I didn't have a back-up plan. I started working, out of college, and I just went from job to job and never looked back. I always made my living, from that point on, as an actor. I never thought that I wouldn't.

IESB: You seem to constantly be working now, and yet you manage to successfully maintain a marriage and family in an industry where that seems impossible. Do you feel like you've succeeded at finding a balance between work and family, or is it a constant juggling act?

Peter: It's always a constant juggling act. While I'm doing this interview with you, I'm standing in the Empire State Building with my kids, who are hanging out, waiting for me, so I can take them up to the top. You're always juggling, back and forth. I just take it day-by-day, and then all those days add up, and you look back and that's your life.

'Twilight' actor Taylor Lautner, 17 year old, Harassed By Crazy Older Fan

Fox News reports on Taylor Lautner incident being harassed by an older female fan as told by Twilight actor himself.

"Twilight" hottie Taylor Lautner, who plays hunk Jacob Black in the Vampire series, isn’t just a popular pin-up for tweens and teens across the world. The 17-year-old admits he has also had to contend with an agressive older female fan attempting to do some well, inappropriate things.

"I had this 40-year-old woman trying to find a way to take her panties off for me to sign them. They had my name imprinted on them," a somewhat amused yet kind of freaked out Lautner told Tarts last weekend. "So that was kind of strange … but you can’t expect anything from these 'Twilight' fans."

On the note of taking panties off, fellow Twilighter Ashley Greene is the latest starlet to be embroiled in an unfortunate nude pic scandal. Fresh from her multiple wins at the Teen Choice Awards on Sunday, full-frontal racy pics of the gorgeous redhead hit the internet on Monday and Greene was quick to fight back.

"The photos in question, which appear to be of our client, are illegal and are being unlawfully displayed," a lawyer for the 22-year old actress said in a statement. "Our client intends to take legal action."

The Entertainment Weekly Cover features Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner with cover story of Twilight Exclusive: Secrets from the Sets of New Moon.

With a new director, a new level of fame for stars Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, and a new set of washboard abs for Taylor Lautner, the second film in the Twilight series, due Nov. 20, promises even more swooning-opportunities for its fans. This week’s double issue of Entertainment Weekly places Stewart and Lautner on the cover, while revealing secrets from the New Moon set inside.

New Moon, a far different beast than Twilight, is steeped in heartbreak, focusing on the recovery Bella (Stewart) undergoes after Edward (Pattinson) breaks her heart and her new feelings for her friend Jacob (Lautner). Pattinson couldn’t be happier with his downsized role: “It was a stress-free job for three months,” says the actor. “All the pressure was on Taylor.”

There were some minicontroversies surrounding the set – director Chris Weitz replaced Twilight helmer Catherine Hardwicke, Lautner had to publicly campaign to keep the role of Jacob, and actress Rachelle Lefevre was replaced by Bryce Dallas Howard for the soon-to-be-shot third film in the series. Lautner ultimately secured the spot thanks in part to Stewart. “It’s completely understandable why they wanted to make sure he was right,” says the actress. “He was so young, 16, so I got it. But I knew he had [to do] it. Just because of how I felt around him.” And how did the Bella-Jacob best-friend chemistry play out on set? “We have that relationship,” she says. “It’s lamely cute.”

Taylor trained hard to bulk up for the role of the budding werewolf. “My body fat got so low that we actually needed to increase it a little bit,” he says. “My trainer would be like, ‘Go have a huge milk shake just so I can get a thousand calories into your body.’”

Stewart thinks the new film will be beefier, too: “[Making Twilight] was much more of a fight,” she says. “We needed to make something commercial but stay true to the book. We didn’t have enough money. It was all very impulsive, and that’s what I love about that movie…But I think New Moon is gonna be even better.”

Director Chris Weitz wants another take of Edward (Robert Pattinson) fighting off his vampire brother Jasper (Jackson Rathbone), as Stewart lies injured in the background.

This is the third freezing night in a row that the cast has worked until dawn, but that doesn't stop the set from feeling warm and jovial. Pattinson mugs for the movie camera between takes and teases his costar for just lying on the floor in the midst of all the vamp-on-vamp violence. ''Do you want Kristen to give us a little life back there?'' he jokes to the director. Kristen smiles. ''I'm just writhing down here,'' she says. ''A lot of writhing. I writhe really well.''

Peter Facinelli joins Legoland for Charity Event

Some celebrities including Twilight actor Peter Facinelli participates in a charity event of Legoland which benefits Surfrider Foundation.

The Sea Life Aquarium at Legoland is turning one and they celebrated with the unveiling of the Celebrity Mosaic Project, which benefits the Surfrider Foundation.

Some of the hottest celebrities including Al Pacino, Brooke Shields, Heidi Klum, Jamie Lee Curtis, Mark Hoppus, Peter Facinelli, Steve Carell, Thomas Gibson, Tom DeLonge and Tony Hawk have built their own ocean-themed Lego mosaics. The mosaics will be auctioned off on Celebritybuzz.com, and all the proceeds will go to the Surfrider Foundation.

"We have no idea how much these mosaics are going to go for, I think the sky's the limit," said Beth Downing with Sea Life Aquarium. "This is the first time we've ever done anything like this so it could be a little or it could be a lot, but of course we're hoping to raise as much money as we can for Surfrider."

The kids in attendance had a blast celebrating the Aquarium's first birthday, exploring the Aquarium and looking at the celebrity mosaics.

The Surfrider Foundation hopes that this mosaic project and partnership with the aquarium will increase awareness about the importance of protecting our oceans and coastlines.

'Twilight' Edward and Bella Barbie Doll Collection

Mattel will offer Edward and Bella Barbie Collector dolls on November 1, simultaneously with the release of THE TWILIGHT SAGA: NEW MOON. Each doll is sold at $24.95.


“I fell in love with the TWILIGHT series and was obsessively reading the books when I was assigned the project to design the Edward and Bella Barbie dolls. As you can imagine, I was thrilled to find out that I would design the dolls and get to work with Stephenie Meyer. Stephenie herself came to Mattel and art directed the look of the dolls. She was integral in perfecting every detail as she really wanted Edward and Bella to embody the spirit of the characters that she envisioned while writing the series. We also had the ACTUAL costumes from the movie set that were used in the “Forever 17” scene to help inspire the costumes for the dolls. It was an unforgettable experience and I hope TWILIGHT fans are just as excited about the dolls as I am!”
